RE: Your carry caliber? - mikereddot - 12-28-2014 I like the RAPS, but do you find it gets in the way sometimes? RE: Your carry caliber? - Rodney - 12-28-2014 Depending on weather it's either the XDM, XDS or the LC9S. It sits in my ankle holster and it does not hang or get in the way during a draw. My son did not think much of it at first but then as he went through the motions for his sight acquisition he noticed how much faster he was getting on target. I have shown it to several people in my gun circle and they have all agreed with my sons conclusions. RE: Your carry caliber? - mikereddot - 12-29-2014 I'd love to try them. Unfortunately, I'm and Springfield guy and I bet they only make them for Glocks. RE: Your carry caliber? - thespaceghost - 12-30-2014 10mm....it's one louder. Near .41 Magnum ballistics in full house loads. Downloadable to .40 S+W comparable 950 fps if you want. This friend of mine kept nagging me to get one. He carries one all of the time. I finally got one and let him know "Dear Ted Nugent, I finally got a 10mm. I love it!" Ted wrote back "Welcome to Man Land!" Yep. That's Ted. RE: Your carry caliber? - Winston - 03-24-2015 My CC is a Walther PPK/S .380 in a Bianchi natural saddle leather holster, and my Open Carry is a Walther P99QA .40 with a Galco Formed black leather holster. RE: Your carry caliber? - bradberry - 03-24-2015 40,45,and 380 all Glocks RE: Your carry caliber? - BelieveIn308 - 03-25-2015 I carry either the FNS-9 or the Ruger LC9S, depending on what I am wearing. Both are 9mm. I have carried on rare occasions a SA XD in .40S&W, but I have to wear my 'fat' pants due to the holster, more than the gun. I really should get anothe rholster for the XD, but I have mounted a Streamlight on it and am using as my bedroom gun now... RE: Your carry caliber? - Karl B - 03-26-2015 My EDC is a .40S&W. I already had a G35, so I had the ammo. I'm a creature of habit. If I carry anything else it will likely be either a .45 or .357 for the same reason, unless I can find concealable .223. ;) RE: Your carry caliber? - Overtrim - 05-07-2015 RIA 22TCM and a Sig .380 RE: Your carry caliber? - mikereddot - 05-07-2015 (05-07-2015, 11:07 AM)Overtrim Wrote: RIA 22TCM and a Sig .380 What do you think of the 22 TCM? I haven't heard anybody having one. We will be doing some gun reviews. Would you like to be part of a review with the 22TCM? I took delivery one week ago. I ran one box of the 22's and 1 box of the 9MM. I had one failed to load. It was one the very first cartage in the magazine. I think I may not had it seated all the way back. I had no failures to fire or eject. Changing the barrels is not difficult, however, it takes me several minutes. You only have to change the barrel and the spring. Everything else is the same for both calibers. The good!. The 22 TCM has very little recoil. The weapon weighs 2.6 lbs. empty. There is a very visible fireball from the barrel even at midday in the sunlight. The 22's run about $20 for a box of 50. However, just change to the 9MM for practice. No need to change sight adjustments. Groupings at 25/30 feet are consistent. The full size 1911 model comes with a 17 round magazine. I have since ordered 2 more from RedDot. Less than good. I will at some point change out the front sight. It is just a black blade. I painted a white dot on it, but it did not help that much. EDIT: The rubber grips sucks. I will be making a new set soon. The last magazine of 9MM was shot from 30 feet using a rolled-up towel for a rest. All 17 was in a 4 inch grouping with most rounds fired within 1 second from the previous shot. I am well pleased with the gun. A review is nothing more than your opinion of a firearm, how you felt it performs, and what you liked and didn't like about it. 'Expert' reviews are always out there. I prefer honest, reviews from guys that shoot the guns, and all levels of shooters views are interesting. RE: Your carry caliber? - Ringo3632 - 05-08-2015 Yeah user reviews are the best. And I like yours... Just that now I want to get one. Haha I might recommend it to my friend though. Sounds like it might be up his alley RE: Your carry caliber? - AcilletaM - 05-08-2015 Anytime you can get anybody's opinion it has value. If you left it up to the gun writers the biggest topic of conversation on this board would have been how much it sucks not having the R51's we all bought and paid for.
RE: Your carry caliber? - mikereddot - 05-10-2015 Having said that, can all forum users find every gun they've ever shot on the http://www.reddotarms.com site and put a comment on that particular firearm. That truly helps Google get our site out there. Thanks. hummmm....i may have to start a contest on that. RE: Your carry caliber? - Ringo3632 - 05-11-2015 Haha just include it for the post count. Or make each review count for "x" amount of posts =p RE: Your carry caliber? - mikereddot - 05-11-2015 We could do that. I'm thinking of making a weekly contest for website posts. Not sure what yet. Maybe the same concept, for every review, get your name in for a box of 9mm. RE: Your carry caliber? - Karl B - 05-11-2015 I threw a couple of reviews out there for ya, Mike. Is there a reason you don't have the Ruger GP100 or SP101 listed on the site? BTW, I don't have a use for any 9mm.
