RE: My first handgun... - fromtheplaines - 06-21-2015 My first handgun that I bought was a nagant revolver, after that a 357. I ended selling them both, I am not really a hand gun guy. RE: My first handgun... - rwhite135 - 06-25-2015 The first handgun I fired, besides a .22LR, was my grandfather's S&W Model 27 .357 Magnum. He started me with .38 Special rounds and by the time we were done that day I was hitting center mass with .357 magnum rounds. This is when I was 9 or 10, btw. My step-father also had a .357 but his was an old Ruger that he bought off a retired Pennsylvania state trooper complete with the PA state police markings. Later on for my 18th birthday my grandfather bought me a S&W Model 66. He loved his S&W revolvers and told me that I should always own one if nothing else. I wish I still had that revolver but finances forced me to sell it a number of years ago. RE: My first handgun... - Karl B - 06-25-2015 The first handgun I fired was an Interarms .380. A PPK knockoff. The first handgun I actually purchased was a 92FS. I sold it because I couldn't shoot it for crap. I'm sure now that it was probably more me than the gun. I've learned much since then. RE: My first handgun... - BelieveIn308 - 06-25-2015 (06-21-2015, 01:06 AM)fromtheplaines Wrote: My first handgun that I bought was a nagant revolver, after that a 357. Also for a while I was going for a Russian weapon theme. in the end I was able to get a old 16 gauge shotgun, which I have shot a a lot more and I think is a better fit for me. I still have some mil surplus but it's a lot more selective |
