*Intrac*.... Has been done by the Croatian company *intrac*. Springfield just rolls their name on the gun. Considering that Glock was making these polymer frame guns long before Springfield bought the contract with Intrac to claim their product, who is REALLY late to the game? ;) lmao... Springfield showed up to the wrong stadium!! Lol.

DUDE!!!! Having said that, you should be driving a Ford instead of a Jeep since they were in the automotive business 40 earlier.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - BelieveIn308 - 04-04-2015

I just assumed he was complimenting *Intrac* on being so far ahead of Glock, and Springfield for recognizing that.

Not quite. I'm not getting on a Ford thread and bashing them because my Jeep is so "far superior"...! I dont understand why Intrac owners get on the glock threads to bash them every chance they can. It's as though they are compensating for their crappy guns by bashing the other. I just like to point out the intrac's crappiness when folks get to slamming the Glocks. Glocks are not the best in the world, nor are "Springfields". I have an FN five-seven strapped to my hip as I'm typing this, but I don't get on the springfield thread to say how much better my FN's are.

Food for thought...

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - BelieveIn308 - 04-05-2015

hmmm.... I love my FNS-9. How do you like the 5-7? Are you going to write up a review of it? There is NOTHING wrong with a Glock, except the price, and the lack of a manual safety for those of us that prefer manual safeties.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - XdEric - 04-07-2015

Glocks have never been all that great. I AM A GLOCK ARMORER.....Enough said.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Karl B - 04-07-2015

Let me ask a serious question, if I may.

Aside from the trigger and marketing issues, why the Glock hate? I'm not trying to start a flame war. I honestly just want to know what I'm missing.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - XdEric - 04-07-2015

I never liked the grips and angle.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Karl B - 04-07-2015

Fair enough. I just wanted to make sure there weren't any functionality issues I didn't know about.

Carry on.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - mikereddot - 04-07-2015

it's all about the trigger.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - XdEric - 04-08-2015

Well that too. Yes glock only have 38(ish) parts but that means no fine tuning of the trigger.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - mikereddot - 04-08-2015

Well, Devon did a nice job on his. The reset is minimal and it does feel really good.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Karl B - 04-08-2015

Maybe I'm just spoiled. The only Glock I own has 3.5lb trigger with a pretty crisp break and has a better reset than the SIG I carry. Still, I realize they don't all perform that way, and the ergos are hard to adapt to for some.

I'm not trying to sell anyone. Just sharing personal experience. Smile

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Ringo3632 - 04-09-2015

Gonna be honest... The first two glocks I was looking at squeaked... Since then I preferred the Springfield... Which I know took it from Intrac... But that's too many details. Haha

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Brian S - 05-24-2015

Now that the G43 has been out for 45-60 days, has anyone fired, seen, purchased or held one?

I like my Glocks and the bottom line for me is I'm buying at least one Glock compact 9mm this year. I'm anxious but not in a hurry to buy one. I'm waiting until I can shoot and compare a G43 vs.G26 side by side.

My thoughts are..is the extra capacity and weight of a G-26 practical for everyday carry or go with a G-43. I look at the Chicago area as having only two seasons, summer and winter.....maybe a 43 for the summer and a 26 for the other 10 months...The 26 will take all my double stack magazines and might make more sense due to summer in Chiraq becomes more of a shooting gallery. Obviously I avoid violent areas of any city....but we all know it can happen anywhere.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - rwhite135 - 05-24-2015

The Pennsylvania State Police dumped all of their Glocks, due to reliability issues, for the Sig P227. 'Nuff said.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - Mike25 - 05-25-2015

I'm planning to pick up a 43 by the end of the year. I love the G19 so why not! I plan on hitting up On Target in next few weeks, hopefully they'll have one to rent.

GLOCK 43!!! - Brian S - 05-25-2015

Mike25 have you shot the 26? I would like to get some non sponsored comparisons rather than depending on YouTube etc...

rwhite135 .... Do you have a link or more info on why the Pennsylvania State Police dropped Glock? Sometimes a manufacturer will offer a better deal to get in the door. I'd like to read about the failures they had with Glocks and models they were carrying. Thanks.

RE: GLOCK 43!!! - BelieveIn308 - 05-25-2015

I really think an everyday carry 9mm should be as thin as possible and if you really think 6+1 is enough, and don't mind overpaying for the Glock name, I think you would be fine with the Glock 43. Just understand that the first thing you will want to do is replace the sights as well.

If it were me, I'd rather carry the Glock 19 over the 43 hands down. I think Glock's are about as reliable pistol as they make. You really would be hard pressed to find a more reliable handgun.
