RE: Carry Permits??? - BelieveIn308 - 09-22-2014 I just filed online this morning (09/22/2014). Hopefully, I did everything correctly, and they find the fingerprints. I will update when I receive it. Thanks RDA for making the whole process easy to understand! RE: Carry Permits??? - The Great Oz - 09-22-2014 Thanks for choosing us and giving us the chance to prove our worth. RE: Carry Permits??? - BelieveIn308 - 09-23-2014 Mike, Steve and Robert made the courses so easy to learn from. They both excelled at putting us at ease and explaining the material well. Their hypothetical examples really brought home the law. Even I understood it well. The practice was even more helpful. They both show a true passion for firearms. That is what I really like about RDA, everyone has passion, yet is helpful and offer unbiased insights into various firearms. They are not there to sell a particular brand. And they answer any question you ask. Truly a great staff to work with! RE: Carry Permits??? - The Great Oz - 09-23-2014 Thanks for the kind words. I'm really lucky with the folks I've manage to find. RE: Carry Permits??? - moedriver - 10-17-2014 (06-09-2014, 02:16 PM)RJDSRT Wrote: Who has their permits? How long did you wait? I have just completed the course for CCW, opted out of the fingerprints. Attempted to go to the site to start the process for the application, when I started to enter my info, I ran into problems, attempted several other times, finally gave up.. Stopped by Red Dot Arms to have them to do my application, (the fee will be well worth it) but as the story goes, they encounter a problem with the State Web Site, does that surprise me, NO!! I will return to Red Dot Arms for the assistance since I have the upmost confidence that when our State finally gets it right on their site, Max or Ryan will run through the app with no problem... I may even get my fingerprints just to speed up the process, if that is possible.. RE: Carry Permits??? - mikereddot - 10-17-2014 First for all, welcome to the forum meodriver! Yeah, you can still get your fingerprints done if you have not submitted the app. Just call ahead and make sure we have a fingerprint tech on site. RE: Carry Permits??? - Brian S - 10-24-2014 I hope to have n=mine by the end of 2014 RE: Carry Permits??? - BelieveIn308 - 10-24-2014 (10-17-2014, 07:42 AM)moedriver Wrote:(06-09-2014, 02:16 PM)RJDSRT Wrote: Who has their permits? How long did you wait? Part of the problem is the state uses a state ID as part of the log in. This requires Java 7.71 to work. Anything newer (like version 8.25 for example which is the current Java) will cause their site to error out (with a message about Java not being enabled). You would think that they at least give you a message that told you what the real problem is. If you uninstall Java and go out to the Oracle website, you can install the obsolete version. The website should then work just fine. Typical government... always out of date, and pointing the finger at someone else. I doubt they can do anything right.

How long did you wait? It can be, especially if you have enable Java updates automatically, and without prompts. When your Java updates to the latest and greatest, the ISP website will not let you log on. I am always amazed at how government. 99% of private websites that use Java are smart enough to look at what version you are running, and deal with it properly. Remember government spent 680 million and 4 years on the Obamacare website, and we have seen how well that is working out. Mind you that is more than the 10 largest websites in existence. RE: Carry Permits??? - BelieveIn308 - 10-27-2014 My Concealed Carry License arrived today! Completed the application process on 09/22/14 (a Monday), and the License arrived 10/27/14. A five week turn around including the mail. All in all I'd say they were pretty efficient for a government service. Thanks RDA for making the entire process easy! |
