Looking for a good place to take my Wisconsin conceal carry class. I have found a few spots but they don't seem to friendly to us southerners from IL. Anyone have any suggestions?
McMillers ?
I thought once you have your Illinois permit you can carry in Wisconsin.

I haven't gotten my IL one yet but that is on my list to do in the near future. If that is the case then even better. Gonna have to look into that.
You can use the certificate the from first 8 hours of Illinois.

If you get Illinois, you will get WI automatically.

Awesome thanks for the info!
Is Wisconsin a gun friendly State? I am clueless on their set up.

They have open carry.

Here's what the Democrat sheriff of Milwaukee has to say about guns.

I remember hearing bout him. Cool beans..
Wisconsin has open carry and is generally rifle/shotgun friendly but you may have the police called on you for open carry of handguns in the bigger cities.

But it's much better than Illinois.

When they voted for CCW in the state house, not one single women voted against the law. Republican and Democrats.
Yes it is but it could be better. Clarke is not the norm for Milwaukee county officials
One thing I really like is when I buy a lower for an AR build it is brought in as a pistol. Which allows me a lot more freedom when I buy one and I am not sure what I size of an AR I am going to build yet.
I was at Gander Mt. in Kenosha once and handed the guy my FOID by habit. He said "get that thing away from me". Smile
Don't think Wisconsin will issue a conceal carry to a non-resident.
But Wisconsin accepts Illinois and non-resident Utah and non-resident Arizona.
