I really can't make up my mind.
I want to get an XDS but not sure which to get. We've told the technaclips would be available this summer for them.

( have one on my Body Guard380 and love it)
I'll be getting an XDS for sure, but right now I'm leaning on getting one of each. Just have to make sure they are both the same color, the misses will think it's the same gun

i really like the idea of the 45 in such a small package. while it may not be the most fun gun to shoot regularly at the range, i think in real life scenarios it is a great combination of firepower and ergonomics. i am typically a 9MM type of guy but there is something about the XDS in .45 ACP that gets me all hot and bothered.

good thinking. I never thought of that!! If i were to duracoat a Barrett .50 black on the upper and green on the lower, could i pass it off as my XDM?
Lmao. Mom would NEVER know the difference
Mike, being that the capacity is the damn near the same in either gun, go with the 45. People talk to me about trading their XDS 45s all the time because they are not comfy to shoot... (They arent made to be comfy)... But they dont understand that they arent fun range guns.
With a full size xdm in 45 and in 9 i'm not looking for a range gun. Got those, his is sticky for carry. The only reason i'm flip flopping is because of the ammo. Got LOTS of 9mm, and not as much in my stash of 45.
Luv my 9, but have been dying to try the .45. I am a tried and true colt gold cup nat match guy, but Springfield has changed my mind on non steel frames.
Exactly, so your carry gun will not require a boat load of ammo

marys
with 8 millions possible Zombies in my back yard? Hell yeah I need lots.
We need to remember that the .45 came about because of the Philippine campaign. Current issue at the time was the .38 revolver. Moro warriors would wrap themselves with vines and rush the U.S. lines. The venerable .38 s&w was a poor manstopper to start with. It failed miserably against these attacks. The request then was made for a new pistol cartridge with better lethality. The .45 acp was the result. Nothing like a 230 grain projectile @900 fps to put down the most determined assailant. All hail John Browning and his brainchild 1911
The XDs is not designed to be a range gun, true, but the 9mm can be if it fits your hand well. I can shoot several hundred rounds through it in a session with no problem in the "comfy" area. My husband's 45 is another matter. We used ours for our Red Dot CCW class and theirs involves a lot more than the minimum shooting. By the end of the class, my husband's hand was bleeding, while mine was still comfy.
YIKES. I didn't he was bleeding.

I put 50-100 rounds through the XDS 45 every time I go to the range to keep comfortable with it. I am actually to a point where I enjoy shooting it. It's like walking a pit bull on a leash, once you can anticipate what it wants to do it can be fun.

I look forward to getting mine.
