Looking for anyone that has any info on this good or bad

Has anyone heard good or bad about the XD Mod 2? I am considering either that or a Shield 9mm. Thanks.
I know the M&P shield had a trigger recall recently. I have fired the Shield and I liked it. It was accurate and did not jerk off target with followup rounds. I have not had the opportunity to shoot the XD Mod 2 yet. I am not 100% sure I like the ergonomics of the grip the few times I held one. And the one I did handle didn't have a magazine in it, so I couldn't tell how comfy it would be for my pinky...
I have a XD in .40S&W, and a XDm in .45ACP (5.25" competition model), both are wonderful firearms.
