If you could only get one more gun, what would it be??
Mine is not as much a gun but more artillery. I have always wanted a 20mm Lahti L-39. Not sure why but I love the fact that it has skis and is about 7 feet long. Also love that there is a crank to pull the bolt back.

Looks like an upside down 50 cal on skies.
My short list would be a Ruger GP100 in .357mag, a Ruger SR-556 cause I love my SR-762, or maybe a Ruger Blackhawk with the .357/9mm cylinders. Maybe a Centurion C39 milled receiver AK47... or maybe a tricked out PTR-91...
So I have 5 to choose from... And today I am leaning towards the Ruger SR556E...
ME...it's the one on the counter in my shop.

Its only pic one!

I'd only dream of that .50 cal, if it comes with a guy to lug it around for me. I'm too old to be lugging around 35lbs, and then another 30lbs. of ammo... Plus, you would have to dump in another $1400 for optics. It's a sweet gun though, but I think I'd prefer a 5 round box magazine. And for the cost I could prolly have all 5 on my wish list. lol Still it does turn heads...
So right now, with only one choice it's going to be a Ruger SR556E...
$1,400 for optics???? Where you shopping?? Lens crafters?? LOL That would be more like $3K for good glass....
LOL....

True. Figure on at least the price of the gun to get suitable optic for it.
This is a gun that I hope to own someday. If I could only get one more, it would be this. Im not sure why, it's nothin special, but they are good looking and classy.
The Springfield M1A Socom 16

Vortex makes really good glass... Check them out, IMHO, the glass is as good as Luepold (Mark 6 level) (it is however made in the Phillipines). I am particularly found of the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP EBR-1 Reticle (MRAD) for about a grand.

Of course, my first choice of optic for this gun, would be:

But not on my budget... And I'll bet not on yours either, pending your divorce...
Do you have a problem with either optic I would choose? Your looking at 1,000-2100 for decent optic, not really extreme high end. So I think you are looking at 3200 for the rifle, 1300 for optics and rings, another 500 for the reloading gear for .50 BMG, and toss in another couple hundred for a carrying handle/sling or other options... your looking at over 5200 for the set up... Did I mention some starting ammo?
Good glass has really come down in price in the last few years...
Ryan, would you really want the SOCOM version over the full rifle version? I guess I am a purest, an M1A is a great choice, but I'd opt for the full rifle version. Gotta like a man with good taste in .308's...

I like the Socom version better, with the shorter configuration.
A cherry picked Colt Python 6".

Looks like it's radio controlled to remotely walk like a robot. Now that would great!
Kreb Customs in Wauconda had/may still have one for only $6,500 LOL!!!
$6500? Is it in the original box? LMAO
there isnt that many in the US. The gun weights something where in the range of 100lb and is 7 feet long.
Ok, you are young, you won't mind lugging it around all day... but you might want to order up a red wagon for it and the ammo...

Thats a gun that you dont run and gun with. you sit back and blow huge holes through things. It was designed by the Fins to take down airplanes

Its a class 3 gun so would have to move out of the IL. Like i said, its a great gun.

It's not the only reason to move out of Illinois, but for now I have to stay.
