First Look: Taurus Curve

Rather than develop another pistol that requires people to conform around the dimensions of a gun, the new Taurus Curve conforms around the contours of the human body.

In terms of its concept as “The gun you wear,” Taurus has stepped outside the norm with its new Curve, offering a non-traditional form factor that aims for comfortable and clever concealment. In the spirit of its name, its curved polymer frame housing is designed to tuck up to your body when carried on the right side. Taurus has even received approval from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on this arched-frame design, so if other manufacturers wish to adopt a similar concept, they’ll need to pay Taurus for the privileges.

Think I will have to see it in person but that really looks like one ugly pistol.
No thanks
Mike , does the gun come with a holster? If no, here is a good candidate for the Kydex molded inside the belt molded hoster.
It's an interesting ugly. Looks almost like that derringer that's in the shop. Looks like it would be easy to conceal in a pocket
Absolutely it should be a great pocket gun, but you would still need a holster for it and the front of the gun just looks so unique I would think it will take a custom molded holster like the Black Rhino guys and others make.
Like the rest of the comments, first look does come across as ugly. But when you consider that the lasers/lights that replace the trigger guard are becoming more popular, this isn't that different. Looks like they went with a Birdshead-type grip as well, which I find really comfortable in my hand. Good on them for trying something different.

This will probably take a little getting used to though

I definitely applaud them for trying new things! And I'd be interested to try one. Or at least handle it a little. Rather get the new XD mod.2 though =p
This thing can't be comfortable. As if the pocket 380's didnt suck enough already....

I'm all for new stuff but this is gimmicky, like that clear side revolver they cameout with. Dodgy
It is an interesting concept... But I don't think I would trust the magazine to feed rounds properly. And I wouldn't buy a pistol without sights. How would you hold this thing with two hands?

I'll Pass...
I would love to try one, or at least dry fire it.
Does it come in right and left hand?

Has anyone seen a holster for it?
Not yet. The gun will not be shipped out until Dec 02, 2014. I've tried to get some. I'm on a back order list.
I guess for conceal carry on your right side that might actually be pretty comfortable with the natural bend. Still think it looks ugly but interested in checking it out.
It comes with a rather unique "holster". Think about a neck knife sheath. The Curve holster covers the trigger guard and has a cord attached. You actually loop or tie the cord to belt loop or belt etc and when you pull the gun out of pocket the trigger guard/holster is still attached until you hit the end of the cord and then it pops off.

Very innovative from start to finish to make a comfy and easy to conceal gun in the .380 venue. Looks like a cell phone even under tight fitting clothing. Don't worry about the magazine, it is straight-and housed inside the curved grip. Mag looks curved but is not.

I"d like to shoot one.
I'd like to shoot one too. Then again I'd like to shoot one of everything at least once.

Thumbs up
I believe it comes with (or can be purchased) a belt clip. No need for a holster. Not sure if I would like the feel of that. I have browsed the Curve a little, thinking the wife may like it. Waiting for $$ to repopulate in my bank before I do any more looking.

Same as many of you though. Not sure it is for me but would like to handle/fire one anyway.
