CDC CONFIRMS EBOLA STATESIDE - YAHOO
CDC RELEASE
“We know at this time this person was not symptomatic during travel but became symptomatic once arriving here and being home for several days,” said Perkins, according the Dallas Morning News. “So that decreases the threat that might be to the general population.”
"The CDC has a team enroute to North Texas to help health officials re-trace the man's contacts since he has been back in the states."

boy thaaaaats comforting.
This could be big, folks!
Only a matter of time with the number of people traveling now.
More dangerous is the Administrations efforts to suppress the ISIS plan to send infected suicide Ebola carriers here, who will not seek medical help, but to infect as many as possible.
We have plenty to fear with this administration.
I wouldn't put any of that past them. It'd be more effective than their standard suicide bomber....
As of the last news report I heard, the CDC was still avoiding to say if the guy is a US citizen, only that he is visiting relatives.
I'm getting a Flu shot in the morning afterwards I'm buying a HazMat suit.
Yeah it's spread through contact with bodily fluids so be sure to wash your hands! Hopefully it'll just blow over, but like Ryan was saying, is not comforting and it could be big. So Bryan I wouldn't blame you for picking up a suit!
Like any government 'protection' measure, first off, it will fail against anyone wanting to willfully bring it here. Second, they will be inept, and their methods will not offer any protection against the spread.
Imagine 30 people purposely infected, who then sneak across the Southern Border and enter into the US with the intention on spreading the disease to as many as possible. If they infected 3 per day, for a month and each person they infected spread it to 2 more, pretty soon we'd have a huge problem.
The CDC didn't say how many they thought he may have infected, and he sought out medical help.
Do you feel comfortable with this Administration's response? Do you feel safer than you did 7 years ago?
I'd definitely recommend taking your own country measures. Regardless of how effective their program is, if they want to, they'll get through. So overall 308, no. Lol no safer now than before. But I think we enjoy a false sense of security here in the first place.
Any body ever played the game plague inc on your phone or computer? If Isis decided to play that it'll be tough going for everyone.
Now imagine if you are a prepper. At what point do you elect to go to condition red? How many walking dead will it take? What plan do you have? How would you combat this. This stuff is very hard to plan for. What if you were not a prepper, what would you do?
About the only thing I would not do is depend on government.
Texas patient on test-drug died.
Second patient (journalist) in Nebraska is also on test drug.
I still note that DHS and this administration is trying to suppress the ISIS desire to send over suicide infected people, with the goal of infecting as many as possible. There have been numerous reports of dead Ebola patients bodies being dug up.
Imagine 100 of these types coming back to the US or sneaking across the Southern (or Northern) border. And then trying to infect as many as possible. I understand that in Texas they have euthanized a dog that could carry the virus.
Agreed. This can't end well.
Yeah I read about the dog n such too. I agree, it can't go well! Not that any disease does, but this could take a fairly sinister twist...
And 308, to answer what I would do.. Is research how it spreads, if it could infect possible food sources, and safe guard against those. And continue regular stuff. I also have a small work environment, so it's easy to stay away/safeguard from other employees if I really felt it necessary. If everything did get really crazy, just make sure you have everything accessible if needed! And take all your vitamins. Lol
It is just the kind of thing, that most prep's would not work against. You would probably become infected before you even took precautions. From what I read it can survive in bodily fluids for a couple weeks after death. It can be transmitted via hand shake. I doubt taking my vitamins will help much.
Dangerous stuff.
Haha doubt vitamins would help much at all. But keeping as healthy as we can is never a bad thing. And is one of those things you'll never know till it's too late for the most part. Which is why my only thought is just have everything ready. I think you mentioned the key part already when you said when do you consider it a code red... There's really no way to figure when it's coming..
