Well democrats in Illinois prefer the poor to unarmed and dependent on government. 16 hours of required training can cost anywhere from $300 and up. Finger prints can cost another $50 and then the state hits you up for $150 application fee. All total $500 for the CCW.

They really are trying to make it expensive. I call it INFRINGING upon our rights still. Imagine the screaming from the democrats if you insisted on 16 hours of training before you could vote. Or a $150 processing fee to register to vote. Imagine a 3 day waiting period for an abortion. Imagine if they said you must pass a background check before you could vote and produce ID.

Sorry, but it is a RIGHT and all these restrictions INFRINGE on that RIGHT.
i think they should have a state funded training program just like the niu motorcycle safety project. It's for safety right? If the state would do that (which can't cost more than funding motorcycle training) not only would more people be educated, then the $150 processing fee would be much easier to manage for everyone
It won't keep anyone alive in a drive by.
Poor and ignorant is how democrats prefer their voters.

Dependent better describes it.

The democrats sure are experts on that! For 50 years they have been spending money on failed programs and what do we have to show for it? Places like Detroit and more poor and uneducated than before we started. Nothing government does is good for consumers. Government can be summed up with the phrase "Epic Failure" for 99% of what they do. We built the Hoover damn in 4 years, today a typical damn takes 7 years to clear environmental hurdles. We sent a man to the moon within a decade of deciding to do it, now they talk about doing it within the next 30 years again. Once government takes over anything, it is going to take decades, cost astronomical sums and deliver an awful product.
