Makes me feel better about my FNS 9 purchase! No love of things Glock here, although I would never treat my guns like that.

Maybe that's why Mike doesn't allow things Glock in his range bag? LOL
Sure glad my last purchase was an FN.

I submerge my guns in mud and water at LEAST twice a week. Its good to know that the FN can handle it.
Gotta love sarcasm... Gee, only twice a week?

One reason I am not a Glock Fanboy.
Ok... So I got to thinking... could the FNS-9 handle that test. So I tried it. Took awhile to get some really cloudy water, with enough grit to match the picture. I also pulled the mag and let both be in the water, but I wanted to be sure enough grit got into the magazine well. After 3 minutes in the water, the FNS-9 fired 5 rounds out of 17 before a failure to feed, and then 9 more before a second FTF. The 15th round didn't fire, even though the primer was hit squarely. 16 and 17 were fine.
I'd say it preformed well enough. HOWEVER, it took me quite awhile to clean all the grit out of the polymer and I had to use a garden hose to get it out. I'd say the cleaning took way longer after this experiment, and I shall not repeat it ever again. What was I thinking?
