No, the 45 is only available in the FNX family.
Well, maybe they will come out with one. Although I would say that FNX-45 tactical is probably the best S/D action trigger I very felt. And just when I thought I had reduced my gun want list down to 1 or 2.
Thanks to you 308 now I've expanded mine to wanting the .308 on top of the other 5 that I want... Haha but my collection is still small.. Growing steadily though!
My want list is the Mossberg 500 Marine version, the Ruger Sp100 .357 magnum (my first revolver), and maybe an AK (Century C39 version?)... And maybe that FNS-45 tactical if they ever make one. Can you really have enough .45ACP pistols? And maybe a Ruger .45 Colt of some flavor...
Haha my list is surprisingly similar. I opted for the Mossberg 535 although I was looking at the mariner version... And my first revolver I've wanted the ruger gp100 in black, and I'm working on an AR before an ak, however I do want one down the road. And there's no such thing as too many 45ACP pistols. I want a 9mm for some variety, but one will suffice for now.

And I like my striker fired XDs, any particular reason you like the fns over the fnx? Just the trigger pull, or the hammer?
I find I like the Striker fired guns a lot over D/S action. The triggers are way better. Now for some reason the triggers on 1911's are always crisp. It is why I don't have any revolvers yet. My budget usually allows for 1 gun every 6 months or so. Although in the last year I have overdone it. I might have to give the Ak priority over the other wants, as politics will surface in 2016. I have numerous other firearms. If a great 1903 Springfield bolt showed up, I'd might have to consider that too. Then there is always a M1A... Decisions, decisions.

I have the shotgun class lined up in October. I'll see how that goes. Maybe the Mossberg will have priority.
I just paid in full for the shotgun class as well. So I'll see you there! Haha but Steve New said that he brings a bunch of different models and set ups for everybody to try. And you have a good point about trying to get the ak soon...
Max and I are trying to get in on the shotgun class coming up also, Ringo. (If the boss man gives us the "go ahead")
The actual Glock company pissed me off, so we sold the G17 we had in class and we are replacing with an FNS-9. I may consider getting the FNX-9 also.
As a new shooter I went with the FNS9. Love the feel in my hand, and even as a complete newbie my groupings are not bad. Just decided to change the backstrap and that made things even better.
I have come to love the FNS9. The more you handle it, the more you appreciate the ergonomics of it. Plus I love the aggressive grips. It has never jamed or had any feed issues no matter what ammo I have fired through it. Very reliable sidearm. Accurate, and came with 3 magazines. As I get more accurate with it, I am glad I didn't buy the Glock.
For those with an FNS9, what holsters and magazine holders do you like? When I got my FNS9 I got a free Safariland holster from FNH, so hey free you can't complain too much. But what have other people tried and purchased?
I use mine as a concealed carry gun. I have Kydex from T. Rex inside the pant holster for the FNS9. I'm happy with it.

I have a Hidden Hybrid. It is a nice holster and is both and inside and outside the waistband. Either remove the clips or add them back on. Two holsters in one.
Any of you FNS shooters ever replaced the factory sights? If you have, what have you used?
I have not seen the need to replace the factory sights. Every single person I know that has purchased a Glock routinely replaces the factory sights. I find them OK for target shooting, and feel the factory sights are fine. I know some people really prefer night sights. I have found most pistols come with decent enough sights (I even think the U sights on a Glock are OK). The one gun platform that I love, that comes with awful factory sights is the Ruger 10/22. I have a scoped one, and now another with TSR200 GI peep sights which are a HUGE, HUGE improvement over the crap the Ruger factory puts on the rifles. After one outing with them to McMiller, I am endorsing these. Not cheap, but worth every damn penny. With these sights, I feel the rifle doesn't need to be scoped.
we are selling a ton of True Glow sights, and we've not heard any negative feedback.

Nice to know RDA is gung-ho over the FNS9. What do you guys have in terms of magazine holders?
We have a bunch of Tagua mag holders. They are nice.
