Academy Sports Goes P.C. On ‘Scary’ Guns
Academy Sports + Outdoors has decided to join the politically correct narrative that guns commit crimes, but only “scary guns.”
Various media outlets have reported that Academy is pulling “Modern Sporting Rifle” (MSR) category of guns from its shelves in the wake of the Orlando shooting. Reporters from KJRH in Tulsa were asked to leave a local store they visited to check shelves for a story.
According to TheFireArmBlog, the company’s corporate office hosted a conference call telling stores to pull “all modern sporting rifle lighters and other gifts” along with “airsoft and bb guns resembling an ‘assault rifle.'”
