For the second year in a row, anti-soda activists challenged Warren Buffett over the morality of this investment. In 2015, hedge fund manager Bill Ackman declared that Buffett’s investment in Coca-Cola was "immoral" because soda consumption is linked to obesity and other health problems.
Yea! I'm sick and tired of the government deciding morality. Most people know good from bad. If you're fat, and you drink non-diet Coke ten times a day....well, there's a hell of a lot of non-governement organizations that tell you that you need to cut down a bit!
I listened to a radio story interviewing new business owners in Colorado about the issues they have regarding Marijuana growing and distribution, now that it's legal to do so in that state. So, they set up their business, follow all the regulations to the letter, don't get any bank loans, and still risk being thrown in prison by the Feds. This is totally ridiculous! One of those States vs Fed's issues, I know, but what a risk these brave folks are taking for something for a non-harmful substance, no more so than alcohol. Insanity and hypocrisy at their best. I think there's too much money wrapped up in our "drug war" to make any changes. However, those business owners were still confident it's just a matter of time before it's legal everywhere.
