European Parliament Takes Initial Steps on EU Gun Control Measures

Since we last updated readers to the European Union’s efforts to enact further gun controls, the transnational government has continued the process of enacting stringent new restrictions across the political bloc. However, recent developments indicate that the final legislation could be dramatically different than the draft measures proposed by the European Commission. While any further additions to Europe’s already onerous gun control regime is unwarranted, some of the European Parliament’s proposed changes to the draft legislation, if adopted, would make the new rules somewhat less onerous. Unfortunately, other areas that the European Parliament seems willing to explore could exacerbate problems with the proposal.
Idiots... When the Muslims, who will not obey gun laws, start shooting up the place, they will suffer a lot of casualties. Gun laws, only disarm the good citizenry, and do nothing for Public Safety. Any view that thinks disarming the good guys is flawed, should suggest police and military forces not be armed. These people are delusional.
What do you mean "When the Muslims...start shooting"? They already started in Paris a few months ago. These fools will never learn.
...and it has happened again. This time it was Brussels, Belgium that was targeted.

Yep; the war is now in the EU's turf! They're going to have to get "aggressive" if they are going to stop this crap.

Also, I wonder who we'd all respond when this becomes a regularity from ISIS here. Yes, we already are seeing lone wolfs, but when ISIS comes here, and it's probably just a matter of time, we'll even be in more of a pickle the EU is. I think American's are just as "weak" as the Europeans are and we'll only react when our wallets are impacted. Otherwise, we'd all have armed security in every school and college already, which we don't, and we have more draconian laws against gun ownership.

Scary stuff!
When it comes to security in schools, I believe that we need to arm teachers. Israel arms their teachers and have not had any issues with school shootings or terror attacks at their schools. I've actually seen pictures taken by a friend, who went on vacation to Jerusalem, that showed teachers on a field trip armed with Galil ACE-23 SBRs.
Nasty bunch of people. I was glad to be home and through the airports local/overseas before all this happened. Dealing with the morons at SFO Airport is enough without the issue of chaos from ISIS. Had no issues overseas as things were pretty calm in New Zealand. I am sure that things are a whole lot tighter now that ISIS has decided to rear its ugly/nasty head.
