Obama thinks he's clever.

Yes, they actually are. They think things through much better than the party I am in!

Even though I did know about the vote against DC gun possession, you don't need to know anything about Obama's nominations. If its someone Obama wants on the Supreme Court, there's no way they could be good for the country. I don't care who the choice is, if its someone Obama wants, by default its someone I don't want anywhere near the Supreme Court.

I think that would be a mistake. But according to the polls, Hillary has a very good chance at becoming a president. A real no win situation and cleaver. It puts everyone in a tough spot.

I don't think Hitlery's choices would be any different from the Commie-n-Chief's. They both go by the same playbook. I wouldn't want anyone that would be picked by the current crop of Demoncrats.

Well, now that Obama has done his duty, it's up to Congress to vet his choice, and just a quickly deny the position to Garland.

And when 1/3 of Congress is occupied in an election year coupled with that year being a Presidential election which dramatically effects those elections, a proper vetting is not even possible.
If the republicans had any brains, then they would do all the preliminary work first, wait for the election in November, then if Hillary wins approve Garland before she takes the oath if they believe she would do worse.
