Paying taxes is Biblical.
Romans 13:6
"This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing."
The problem is, how many are needed to govern, and why to we need to have continued new laws after so many years... because for every government law, there needs to be a new government authority to govern it. Even with School Choice, for example. The word "CHOICE" makes you think freedom, but it seems that it will be quite the contrary. If you give up the school districts in public schools to favor the parents choice of education and within that school there will be administration and board members... there will be a whole new government to make sure that the school is making sure to teach (such and such). Governments had looks for EVERY opportunity to govern and bleed money of taxpayers.
LOL... at least Bernie is upfront with it... the others try to trick you into thinking that you will have more freedom if you vote for them. Ehhhh... there is no perfect "choice" for president. Period.

The problem we have now is "the authorities" do not view themselves as servants, of anyone - God or the people. They view themselves as masters, and that is the nature of progressivism. Progressives consider themselves the enlightened ones and must control how society progresses.
For that to work, they require of us that which belongs to God - our will. The money is secondary, they can always get the money.
I have no problem paying taxes, I have a problem surrendering my will.

The very idea of Progressive is totalitarian. The State dictating to parents that you MUST educate your children in 'public' option schools or pay for some other form of education they approve of is the first intrusion on Liberty. Where in the Constitution does it say anything about education being REQUIRED by the STATE?
Governments always become ELITISTS. The progressive part is just their way of stripping you Liberty and Freedom. When the state CAN FORCE you to do something like compel education, we have a bigger problem than the quality of education and what the free market could do to improve it. But certainly it is not the progressives solution, which is always a state run monopoly they control. That just insures an extremely expensive, very poor product.
