What kind of gun are you using? I've seen a couple flashlight laser combos that are flush on subcompact 9mm guns from Springfield and Glock
Here's what I have generally for my EDC. Still trying to find a shoulder rig that I like, I'm looking forward to trying out the one RDA is getting in soon!

Mike25, were you the one to mention stoner holsters on another thread? I liked their site and was wondering if anyone has tried any products from there
Do you guys think you need a flash light on your EDC firearm? I have one on my home defense pistol, but on your EDC? I didn't even think about a flashlight for EDC until I read this article.
I carry a SOG folding knife, and Leatherman Mut, and a 64Gb Flash drive on my key chain. Sometimes I carry a full size Kbar Knife. When I get my CCW, I plan to carry a either a FNS-9 or LC9S. Do you carry 1 or 2 extra magazines? I am now thinking I need a flashlight also. Probably a Streamlight AA version, or maybe something smaller.
A watch and iPhone as well.
I do keep a small AAA flashlight with my pen. I wouldn't keep it on the gun just because as some people pointed out, if you want to shine the light on something you have to point the weapon at it. So I like it sperate for that reason. And I will be carrying a second mag, because the XDs can only hold 5 + 1 for the standard, and the extended is 7 + 1.
I do need a new knife though... I was looking at spiderco, Kershaw, and I'll add some SOG to my list. I've seen a couple I like. And I should look into some leathermans. My buddy has one and I love it.
