And we did it without any riots, just old school murders.
Watch out here come the Liberals with more gun control!

You know if we can just get those shotguns out of the hands of farmers in rural Illinois all this gang violence would go away.
These shootings all occur on the democrat plantations. Real people, whose lives matter, don't do these sort of things.

The problem is not guns, the problem is a culture of dependency fostered by years of democrat handouts.
Make that a Blow Out for Chiraq... 55 "known" shootings/killings over from Friday to Sunday night.

I see a new sport in the making and you won't even need a tag. Just form a line in these types of neighborhoods with all the shotguns loaded with double 00. PULL!

That is what always drove me nuts. I know last year they tried passing an increase on the ammo tax to pay for urgent care centers on the south and west side. Since its all the mean old people outside cook county driving into town and shooting people. If they want urgent care that is fine, just don't tax the wrong people to get it.

It's the democrat way... tax those that have nothing to do with the problem to pay for their failed social experiments. Democrats are like parasites, they want to leech off someone else. They never want to pay their own way of pay for government. They just want more government, and someone else to foot the bill.
The worst part is even the witnesses won't help because they fear retaliation, and I'm assuming those that also just hate cops. So they'd rather have stray bullets than making a difference. I'll happily keep my distance from there, and do my best to keep up with training to protect myself and my family!
Chicago has to win at something since it looks like the Blackhawks are going to lose the Western Conference Final to the Ducks. I know bad taste but I couldn't resist. Shutup

Anyone want to bet that Rahm Emanuel is doing a jig in the mayor's office? He has another excuse for strict gun control now!
What I don't get is once that bullet is fired, it's the end of a line if very poor decisions. Why not try and fix things long before that point.
close 50 schools in problematic neighborhoods, attack the teachers who can give these kids a shot, raise the taxes so all of the jobs leave chicago, increase the dependency of the poor to the government, and thats how chicago gets to where its at today, Gun control? lmao how about control the people in office and prevent this type of poverty....oh yea and the death penalty may help, most of these people are not scared of prison
Taxes today are used by government as a tool to instill certain behavior. Like the cigarette tax is supposed to stop smoking (and it is over time). However, when you tax success, it is government saying it wants LESS of it. When you tax wages, it is government saying, don't work so hard. When you tax economic activity, it says you want LESS of it.

Taxes should be paid by people for government. We should all pay EQUALLY. Yes this hurts the poor, that was the founding fathers intent, least government grow too large. What was the burden on the average citizen back in the day? And how large was government?

We MUST stop using the tax code for social ills.

Maybe we should tax folks to vote....maybe we would get less dead people voting. (very tongue and cheek)

Founders didn't envision taxes. Money came from tariffs. Taxes came 80-100 years after the Founding and aren't specifically mentioned in the Constitution. There are conspiracy theorists who believe they shouldn't have to pay taxes because this.

How about unregistered voters instead?
As old man Daley once said "vote and vote often"

Wrong. Article 1 of the United States Constitution specifically gives Congress, in multiple sections, the power to lay taxes. It also specifically states that all such bills must originate in the House of Representatives.
