Keep the ideas coming. I've assigned Andy the task of executing these ideas. We are starting from the top.;
You could have a guest during a chat. Maybe a well known marksman, maybe one night the ECO of a gun manufacture to discuss new projects/upgrades, etc.

Just keep the moderated chat on the same night of week/month and post the topic ahead of time.

I like that idea. Just need to find the guest now.
As it stands, there are no actual chatrooms. Maybe creating some would help. Not as many as there are subforums, but something more specific than just having one chat spot.

Having more specific areas of conversation might get people to check in more.

I'm spitballing here. At the end of the day, it really comes down to how many active members you have.
What about online training? Such as for first time buyers or a mini infomercial that shows the cleaning of certain types of weapons, cleaning products and tools, reloading, shooting techniques or? What about show and tell of certain gun parts like stocks, grips, hand guards, barrels, where you take them out of the packaging and tell people whats in the box and how it works, ya know product demos. The only way you can access them is through the Forum. You can find some of that stuff at Midway has: http://www.midwayusa.com/video

Thx, we've talked about doing that, but just need a little more man power.
hmmm... I'd love to see video's that are product reviews. That diamond oil you have is really great stuff. I like seeing whats 'new' at Red Dot as well! You can start off by filming that knife demo... maybe another on how to hone a quality knife. Smile

So other new products that come in.

Good idea, since than you could advertise that. Also if they are well known they would want to advertise it as well. I know the Northbrook club is having a state wide shoot in a month or so. Maybe you can get on if their guys.

We have advertized the forum on the Radio before.
Have you guys tried advertising on other gun related forums/sites? You can purchase a banner on IllinoisCarry for $200 a year.

http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php...opic=41192

Maybe sites like The Firing Line, AR15.com, GlockTalk, etc. have similar options?

Some of us don't do social media, so this might hit your target audience more efficiently.
