I personally would use a stall, lest someone disarm you while you are focused on your junk. But hey, I'm not a cop.
If they have to take off their utility belt, assuming the pistol/holster is fastened to it, then it's much harder to leave the gun behind with a large black belt with other accouterments behind. Wierd...and funny!
