What do you guys prefer in general? Striker or hammer fired handguns?

Well, since I prefer revolvers I would have to go with hammer fired.

no preference. I like them all. Kind of like Rodney Carrington says in "Show them to me" I like them all!

I like a striker fired pistol personally.

I like striker more. I do have a great FNX-45 that is double/single. AWESOME GUN, only thing is that the first trigger pull is VERY long and then shorter pull there after. With that said, to have a very precise shots, you have to move your finger after that first shot.

Either way, but if I had to choose, I like hammer.

I prefer Striker on smaller automatics, because their is less recoil and follow up shots are easier. Also the trigger pull is more consistent. On Full size, larger caliber guns the difference is much less noticeable. I am a big fan of my FNS-9. It is really a fine handgun, and I shot the less expensive brother of the FN 45 show above this summer at McMiller. It has incredibly nice sights and I am a huge fan of the FN lines grips. There is something to be said for Double/Single action on .45ACP handguns.

One day when I win the lotto, I will buy that same FN Mike...

I don't care for manual safety's.

Either but lean towards the striker fire.

I like manual safeties. Of course I was trained that when you move your finger to the trigger you also flip the safety off. I like the polymer framed guns. I've would venture to say that of all the accidental handgun discharges, those without manual safeties have been the vast majority.

Yeah, but I like backup... And besides, one probably would not cover the cost of that tactical FN.

Same here. I carry my USP cocked and locked.

I would have to say striker.
