Yes I do. The Remington plastic bricks with the slide off top were pretty cheap, as I recall.
That was then...

I remember gasoline at ,29 a gallon. I used to have to change the price on the Mechanical pumps, It took 20 minutes to do a pump. And when it over a dollar a gallon, the pump didn't go that high, so we sold it by the half gallon! I must have explained the .45 cents a thousand times...

I don't remember price per gallon that cheap, we switched to litters in canada way before I drove....but, gas was $1.05 a gallon when i moved to Michigan back in 1997. Gas was 1.24 in Libertyville when i move to the area back in May 1999.

I remember buying gas for less that $1 in 1999. I also remember there was a sign on I94 north of Kenosha that had to be torn down because it was digital but only had 2 digits. Wasn't until 2005ish when it finally did. I remember $1.25 for cigarettes and swearing I would quit when the price doubled (it double again to $4.25 when I finally did). I also remember candy bars for 25 cents (btw, when did the drop the cents sign from keyboards?), soda in cans for 25 cents and 35 cents for the glass bottles.

I remember my dad and step-dad complaining about the price of gas going up to $0.99 in the late '70s, not to mention the lines around the block when stations had gas to sell. As kids we drank a lot of RC because it was $0.15 for a can compared to a can of Pepsi or Coke being $0.25. When the price of cans went up to $0.50, RC still stayed lower at $0.25 so we still drank a lot of it. I remember going to Taco Bell with my younger brother in the early '90s and we'd get filled to the point of bursting for $5 each. We'd each get two value meals and a Nacho supreme for that $5. Good luck trying to do that today. One of my favorite pizza shops to order from in Pittsburgh used to sell a small pepperoni and sausage pie for $4.25 delivered. Now it's about $8 according to my brother. Their minimum cost to deliver was $4 and now it's $15 he said.
