Many years ago when I worked in retail I switched between a Beretta 21A .22LR and a .38 S&W. This was way before CC was even a thought in IL. In fact it was when Morton Grove, IL became the first town in the country to have a ban on handgun ownership at the time.

For now I am only carrying when I am on my property which is legal in Wisconsin. I am however planning to get my IL and WI conceal license very soon and for the time being will be carrying my Ruger LC9S. Great gun for the size, easy to shoot and works flawlessly! Paired with my new Alien Gear IWB holster it is a great set!

I love my Ruger LC9S. It has grown on me as well. Shoots well, not much recoil, always goes 'bang'. Ruger may as well discontinue the rest of LC9 line, as the S version is far superior. I like it because it is thin as well. And I like the sights. I am carrying one extra 7 rd magazine as well for it.

I think this is a really excellent choice for concealed carry.

I don't have my CC either but hope to take classes for Illinois, Utah and Florida by the end of this year.

The low light and Red Cross classes sound interesting too.

Now that it is colder out, I carry my 12rd mag PPQ .40 with an extra 14rd mag in my pocket.
In warmer weather I carry my 7rd mag LC9 with an extra 10rd mag.
1 in the tube and no external safety.

Now if I could figure out how to conceal my AR15 pistol..... Wacky

I usually carry my Ruger LC9S, and one extra magazine. I do sometimes carry my FNS-9. Depends on what I am wearing. The Ruger is smaller and has much smaller profile. I can easily see the Ruger as 'summer' gun. But I am surprisingly liking the FNS-9 as a carry gun too, and never though it would work in that role.

I have 3 glocks that I alternate with. First my most common is my G42. It sits beautifully in my ankle holster during the week and on my hip during the weekend. It is loaded with PD rounds and I hit what I am aiming at. I also installed a RAPS on the back of it. It really helps with quick sight acquisition of a target.

I also carry my G36 (45) and my G27 (40) at different times. I will be getting a G26 (9mm) so I can keep trading them out with the seasons. My G19 (9mm) is just a little large to conceal as is the G21 (45). During the cooler months of the year it is easier to conceal the 40 and 45. I have had my CCW for over 19 years and I also have my Utah CCW and have had it for now 1 full year.
