According to some reports, Bergdahl, the deserter swapped for the 5 high ranking Taliban, is to be officially charged with desertion. Kind of kills the Obozo narrative that they did the swap to save a hero, doesn't it?

This is absolutely ridiculous. So an army Sgt is in prison by the Taliban. We release 5 Taliban prisoners so we can bring the Sgt home just so we can put him back in prison. What a f'n joke this country has become!

I have to ask myself this... What would Gen. Patton have done? He would probably have had a court martial for the captured enemies. Then since they were not wearing a uniform, he would have them shot. He then would have told the Taliban go ahead and shoot the deserter and thank them for saving him the trouble of doing it.

Instead we have a socialist liberal that is utterly clueless.

Bergdahl was captured by the Taliban because he deserted in the first place. He's not someone deserving of sympathy. He should be tried, convicted, and then executed for desertion in the face of the enemy. For those that don't know Desertion is a capital offense in the military during wartime. The fact is we should have let him rot in that Taliban Hell hole.

@Believe, under the Geneva convention the Taliban wouldn't need to be tried as they were caught out of a formal uniform. In that circumstance they can be treated as spies and executed on the spot. I don't think Patton would have had an issue doing that.

My comment was directed more at the love fest the lame stream media has with this guy more so than what you said. I can just see someone from MSNBC or CNN making a similar statement but in doing so saying the military is wrong to do this to a "hero".

Well you have to be a hero to be treated like one. Seems many people have forgotten that these days. Getting sick of seeing actual hero's being treated like scum and the actual scum being treated and celebrated like hero's. Michael Brown just to prove a point.

Lets not forget his long rap sheet... Of course the Obama sent 3 people to the felon's funeral and refused to send ANYONE to Chris Kyle's... But then again M. Brown was more like the son Obama never had. One was a felon and one is decorated hero... And we wonder why America looks weak.
