Guns? What Guns? I sold those years ago... Besides, isn't the Constitution still the supreme law of the land and the minions sent out to do the confiscation, can only be viewed as traitors, correct?

I own a few firearms, I consider them to be in a state of Flux. I don't have to worry about what wives think (divorce has it's advantages).

I add what I think I can use or need. I am sure I have spent far more on ammo, accessories, safes, optics, than on the firearms themselves. I have a gun or two I'd get rid of, and have a gun or two I'd add...

What a coincidence mine were lost also in a freak boating accident
on Grass Lake while I was duck hunting . I had just load up my
eight foot john boat with my guns & ammo (see picture below) I got out to the middle of the lake (deepest part) I had shut off the motor
that when I realized I left the decoys and my dog on the dock
I knew right then this was starting out to be a bad day. Then all of a sudden I see this Hugh flock of ducks heading right for me so I grab the first gun that was closes to me turn out it was one of my AR'S thank god I didn't have to load it (I keep all my guns loaded all the time) so I stand up in the boat and the ducks start flying over me I started shooting there was ducks dropping ever ware (30 round clip) the ducks started to turn and I turned that when the boat started to capsize next thing I know I'm floating with a bunch of dead ducks and my boat and all my gun wear gone turn out is was something to do with counter balancing me standing up and all the ammo on one side. of the boat If I learned anything from this it is that ammo in a boat can be very dangerous If you don't balance it. Boat, guns ,ammo total lost. Now all I have is my dog and a pile of decoys.
Yep it was freaky.

It is nice to see someone else is big fan of Ruger 10/22's too, I thought I might be the only one with 3 of them... And who uses an AR fro duck hunting? You probably still need to double tap the duck to before you can move on to the next target.

LOL... I see the real problem, you didn't have enough guns and ammo. If I put mine in a 8' boat the boat would never have floated in the first place, it would have sank at launch.

I don't know anything about Treasure I do know I seen some dive teams on Grass Lake today they must have been trolling this forum for info. I'm sure there not from around here cause they were using dive tanks and stuff like that and anyone that has lost gun in Grass Lake knows all you need in the winter is a metal detector & a chainsaw you just scan the ice fine the guns get the chainsaw out and cut a cube the size of the gun take it home put some heat to it and BAM add a quart of oil to it give it a wipe take out side load it close your eyes and pull the trigger. (NOTE: closing your eyes is a very important step ) If you still have a face after pulling the trigger you got yourself a keeper.Thumbup

That reminds me of a time I went camping on Rock Island, north of the Door County peninsula.

The water depth off the island is 3 feet out about a half mile. I was talking about that with a ranger and he told me a story of 2 canoeists who went over a few hundred fee out. The started thrashing and calling for help. The ranger said he stood their and watched them a while and then finally called out, "STAND UP!"
