Last time I checked 6 months ago the reloading supplies (powder, caps, bullets) for 9mm and 223 was hard to find. Any better now?

Hey there Rodney, good question. From what i have seen, supplies of powder and primers has greatly improved. Red Dot has a good variety on the shelf now for various calibers. Projectiles on the other hand are still sketchy at times, especially for 9mm and .223, 2 of my favorite cartridges. My understanding is that the bullet manufacturers had to fill huge backorders for the popular internet sources, who took orders when out of stock. Also, prices of copper and lead have skyrocketed. Supply is slowly improving, but a little pricier than before. For 9mm, casting your own bullets is a great option, and inexpensive too!!!!

We should expect a saturation on the market after the manufacturers catch up, right? Thinking the retailers will be stuck with a lot of expensive material that they cant sell because they over-ordered. Just like the p-mags right now.

Any sign yet that powder is going to be coming back online?
Maybe some Power Pistol or Varget? And maybe some CCI#34 & #41 rifle primers? And at a reasonable price?
What is your best guess before the dam breaks and we are flooded with components again?

No problem. Lynn Garnand recommended them and they always seem to have stock. Plus shipping isn't bad because they fit everything into flat rate boxes.

Along those same lines of component availability, keep an eye on Extreme Bullet Company ( http://www.xtremebullets.com/ ). They make very nice 55 Gr FMJ projectiles for 5.56/223 and always have stock. They even have had 24 hour sales where 500 cost $41, which is about 3-4 less than their normal price. I only load their 124 Gr Plated RN bullets in 9mm. Once you move to 124's and experience how well the plated work, you wont go back to FMJ. These guys also make a nice 158 Gr PSWC for .38//357 Mag work and a great 240 Plated Flat point for .44's. The advantage of the plated I that they don't have lube like a lead bullet so there less smoke when you shoot them, and you can push them pretty hard if you need to.
Have you seen all the IMR-4227 around lately? It works great in .44, .38 and .357 Mag, meters as well as spherical powder and is clean. Only problem is where you would use 4-5 Gr of Bullseye, you will use 9-10 Gr of IMR-4227. That makes it a bit more pricey to load but it runs and while other powders are hard to come by, this stuff will play.

Never heard of 'match' primers. Can you elaborate on the difference a 'match' primer can provide?

Match primers are more consistent in the amount of fire they produce. That means the same amount of power is lit every time so the pressure curve and burn of powder will be more consistent giving you less extreme spread of velocity at the muzzle and a tighter group down range. A by product of the consistency is that Match (Federal Term) or Bench Rest (CCI Term) primers are slightly colder than their non Match equivalent.
