I became an Illinois CCW instructor this year and looked around at some pre-printed materials and was dissatisfied with what I found. So I decided to write my own and publish it. When I got up over 200 pages I decided "I gotta stop!" I am pretty sure it remains the most extensive Illinois dedicated book in print. With more than 25 yrs of instructor experience with various platforms, and 28 yrs of daily carry, enforcement and competition experience it turns out I have a couple of things to say about carrying guns successfully! 
Book is written for students completing the Illinois training process and the state mandated topics from start to finish. It is not a replacement for taking the course from a licensed instructor.
Being student driven, basic gun handling and shooting info has to be covered, but the book also includes extensive experience and recommendations on law, clothing, use of force situations, weapons, holsters etc and a state by state listing of the laws of other states in the U.S. who may honor the Illinois CCW permit.
I have print and digital editions listed on Amazon and Lulu.com among others and have not advertised it before, but when I saw this forum topic thought I'd at least post it to the group.
Amazon.com and Lulu.com have the print editions for $12.89 right now and Lulu.com has the digital edition for $4.99. I believe Nook and Kindle list it as well.
I have some printed books on the shelf at home and if anyone in the rdaforum in the Lake/McHenry area wants a print edition for $10 hit me up at blackrifleranch@yahoo.com and we will work out getting you a copy or two.
