Any organization in Lake County for CCL/CCW holders to meet and discuss various topics on this subject?

Would like to have something local rather then a national or state organization.

Good point Mike. I haven't heard if one but handguns and cc isn't really my thing. But if something came up I would be game.

Although I don't live in Lake County, This topic may be a good one to have an organized live chat about on a specific date and time

Great idea. I would be interested in being in on the ground floor of getting this started!

brian s. - Maybe a better ideal is to have a Northern IL org, this would include Cook and McHenry county (and others).

So what I was thinking was just a basic group to discuss CCL topics. What topics you may ask? Well the law itself and any changes that are planned for it. As an organization, local politicians would be more likely to attend as a guest speaker and speak to the group about any new laws or changes to existing laws that are planned. Maybe get CCL attorneys to come in and be a guest speaker.

We could invite local law enforcement into the group so we can work with them.

We could also discuss holsters, types of training, ranges, carry methods and anything else related.

Meet once a month someplace friendly to CCL holders.

Thoughts?

I'd be willing to host such a meeting. I just don't have time to organize and create minutes and all that. I would be interested in such a thing.

We can discuss some of this tonight if you have time. Thumbup
