Bears bench Jay Cutler in favor of backup Jimmy Clausen

Enough is finally enough for the Chicago Bears.

After weeks of offensive futility, the team has benched starting quarterback Jay Cutler in favor of backup Jimmy Clausen prior to Sunday's contest against the Detroit Lions, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports, according to two sources informed of the situation.

That's perfect!

Unfortunately the Bears have a bunch of money invested in Cutler. I'd still like to see them trade him and a hit on the cap. The only trade I can figure out would be to send him to the 49'ers for Kapernick while demoting Trestman to offensive coordinator, pick up Rex Ryan for Defensive coordinator and have Kapernick bring Harbaugh with him as head coach. I'd rather have Bill Cowher as HC but he's making too much at ESPN and they have heat in the studio during the winter. If Cutler ends up in Tampa, the Bears may be able to pick up another high draft choice. Maybe a linebacker and a linebacker high in the draft.
Santa I know that's a lot to ask, but please don't let the Bears front office draft 2 kickers in the first few rounds to compete in camp for job. Sad Help

With people being knifed at Soldier Field, you may want to add it to your list.

In Philly they knife ya and toss you from the 2nd deck unto the fans below...

LMAO!

Da Bears will finish in the cellar this year. There is always next year (spoken in my Cub fan voice)...

SBJ is trying to figure out how to beat me in the fantasy football championship this week. But as usual he is a two touchdown dog, and is going to lose and give me the money, just like last year...

Who's your QB and RB?

Lovie took the QB he liked to Tampa, not Coach Killer Cutler. They may be shopping Cutler around for a trade but with the money involved and the performance on field from him the Bears only hope is to reduce the effect on the cap. Nobody will trade a high draft pick for him.

Its hard to say what this team will look like next year because the Bears could be searching for a new GM and for sure a new coaching staff and who would want it with the Cutler noose around their necks. I doubt Harbaugh would be interested unless he has full control. Rex and Rob Ryan will probably be looking for work but Rex has been talking about TV jobs. I think these ex-coaches can make just as much money in TV as they did on the sidelines and without all of the hassle. Seems like a no-brainer.
