Hi all,

For anyone having trouble reassembling their 938, here's a tip I learned from the RD staff.

Problem: all seemed to go together except the slide would not return back to full-forward position. When racked back, the barrel was loose and slid back and forth. The user manual, page 42 says to slide the slide back until the disassembly notch lines up with the slide stop tab, then to simply press the stop tab all the way in. I did this and I had the problem described above.

Solution: What the manual doesn't tell you is that you align slide like above, but look for the holes to line up between the slide and inside barrel lug (correct term?) just like you normally would (like a 1911), but only insert the slide stop tab in partially, then pull the slide back so the stop tab and slide notch line up, then drop the tab in the rest of the way.

Thanks, I'll look for that. It's been an issue more than half the time, and a complete mystery to me. No clue what I did or didn't do correctly, just keep taking it apart and reassembling until it worked.
