I picked up some subsonic 22 it says that it will work in a sa rifle. But you may have to manually work the action. From other people's experiences is it pretty common, or it can happen but not very often

If the gun is a Rem 597 or a Ruger 10/22 you are pretty much going to have to cycle with every shot. The Marlin's seem to be a bit better but not much. It shoots accurately enough, just not enough blow back energy to get reliable ejection and feeding of a new round.

I never had an issue with sub sonic in my 10/22. 5, 10, and 25 rnd mags.

I figured it was cheap, and it was there so there wasn't much harm in buying it
