Sometimes things just make sense, the simpler the better. The picture shows a double powder baffle. The idea is to protect the area below the top baffle from the varying head pressure of the powder above. More fun is the fact that it's manufactured by a motorcycle accessory maker who has awesome manufacturing capability and who is also an active reloading participant. I load with IMR-4227 for a lot of revolver calibers and IMR-700x for .45 ACP. With a single baffle like the UniqueTek.com model, I would see 0.1 Gr variances over a full to empty powder measure. To counter that I would hold the level as constant as possible. Now that I use these I get 0.04 Gr variance from top to bottom. You have to use enough powder to equilibrate the measure. A gap appears just below the bottom of the top baffle and that tells you it's working. These come in sizes for Lee, RCBS, Redding and Dillon. Hornady will be out soon. What works for you?

That seems like a worthwhile investment. Does it work well with all the different powder types? Or prefer one over the other? I've been using bullseye for my .45 lately.

It works with everything , you just see a bigger improvement with big flake powders (like Unique) or medium sized extruded powders like Varget. Bullseye has 0.74mm flakes as compared to 1.16mm of Unique, so there is an improvement for sure but not as dramatic.
