Ok, took 3 guns to McMiller on Sunday. Of course I grabbed the wrong ammo box on the way out and didn't bring the Russian 7.62x54R. Strangely enough McMiller doesn't carry any of that. So the Mosin-Nagant never made it out of the trunk.
That meant I had a Ruger Mk. III and the Springfield .45 to shoot.
I put about 3 boxes of .45 though it. I was on target at 25 yds. with all but 3 rds. The ammo was RedDotArms reloads, and had zero issues with them. Pretty good stuff. They actually seemed better than some of the factory ammo I have put through this. I am liking this Springfield a lot. It is very smooth for follow up shots. I was firing 2 shots as fast as I could to see how fast I could be be back on target. I was pleased with my results.
The Springfield XD line are really some fine, accurate guns.
Spent the rest of the time at the range plinking through a brink of 22LR.

Well,in our defense, this is a Springfield thread.
Won't be long, curiosity will get you and you'll shoot one and be converted.

Pick up the Springfield... feel the comfort... look down the sights... dry fire one, feel the trigger difference... Now put the Springfield down and look at the how much better it looks...
Now ask yourself, why would anyone choose Glock?

10 Reasons why I would choose a Glock-
1-Because two of mine are 34 years old.
2-I've never had a problem with either one.
3-I've never had to get them serviced for any reason.
4-The G-17 magazines fit the G-19.
5-I've fired an infinite amount of rounds through one of them and only had one brass casing not eject properly. I'll accept the blame for that one.
6-Most parts are interchangeable if ever needed.
7-It would take me a month to remove the ammo from as many magazines I have.
8-Every bad guy knows what a Glock looks like and the damage they can cause to a bad guy.
9-Every bad guy knows how many rounds I could fire in less than 15 seconds if ever placed in self defense mode.
10-They look cool.
I wouldn't ever rule out buying a new gun if it really impressed me. I know Springfields are excellent shooters, I have nothing negative to say about Springfield XD's.
What more can I say other than "I'm a Glockster"....

34 years? I'd have worn out a couple of barrels easy, I mean even if you only put a 1000 rds through them a year, that would be 34,000 rds each. I've never heard any glock owner say they have more than 12000 rds through theirs...
Just about everything on your list applies to Springfields as well...
The Glock thread seems dead.

I've shot over 500 rounds of red dot reloads through my XDm with no issues. I've only had a failure to feed once, and I hadn't cleaned it in a couple trips to the range anyways. Haha
It's great ammo, and it's all I shoot for target.
