I've been going for the G19 if I do the Glock. But is between that and the fnx-9. But I also want something tiny... My XDs is great, but if I can get like a bodyguard or something along those lines if by happy

I still think it comes down to grip and how it feels in your hand. Try a bunch. The SCCY felt pretty good in my hand too. A Walther PPK does too. The little Ruger LC9s is growing on me also. I like everything about it except the take down pin. Although it now seems to fall out real easy now. I didn't like the feel of the M&P Shield, but my buddy loves the gun, and it sure seems like a quality gun. The only thing is he said the first 100 rounds there were some issues, but not anymore. The Springfield's would be good choices too. We live in an age of relatively cheap, extreme reliability firearms. Pick one that your hand likes and practice with it!

So far I live the Springfield and wouldn't trade it for anything I've experienced... Haha I just want as smaller backup in case I can't do the conventional carry and such. I was looking at the sccy guns, but I haven't held one yet... I have to say from what I remember the fnh felt better than the Glock... But I'll have to try then side by side

We briefly had a LC9. We both hated shooting it. Even just a few rounds. I have the Sig P938 and I really like it a lot. Fits well in my hand for a smaller gun and it takes a lot of rounds in one session before the kick affects me.

I've never shot a Sig, but I've heard many a good review for them. I if I remember right I looked the grip on them as well.

And I agree 100% with the lc9... I hear the lc9s is suppose to be much better though

I wouldn't own a LC9, the trigger is awful, and for some reason it recoils way more. I do however like the LC9s. It is striker fired and a vast improvement over the LC9. Still the one nagging thing is the damn take down pin. It is the only thing I dislike about the gun.

To me it's all about the feel and grip of the gun. And the trigger.

That's too funny. Rereading the other posts I thought "LC9s" was the plural of LC9. Tongue

If the LC9s is better great but B308 is correct, the trigger is horrible on the LC9 and it kicks like hell. It just felt like you were pulling the trigger forever before it fired.

Haha can't say I would have read it any different if my brother hadn't shown me one before. And I felt like my XDs .45 had better recoil than the lc9... One of these days I'll try the LC9s and see how that compares.

If the LC9s is better great but B308 is correct, the trigger is horrible on the LC9 and it kicks like hell. It just felt like you were pulling the trigger forever before it fired.

The LC9S is the new striker fired version. The trigger is smooth as silk, has a short reset and crisp clean break. It recoil is much lower than the LC9. I would never buy the LC9. But I like the LC9S more than a Glock 26 or the M&P shield. Now don't get me wrong, both those guns are fine guns, but the Glock costs like $150 more, and the shield just didn't fit my hand well (costs like $80 more).

I think with the LC9S Ruger can get rid of the rest of the LC9's... If you are considering the Glock 26 or M&P Shield, at least try the LC9S. I was surprised. When I bought it I thought I was going to wind up selling it and buying the Glock, but I am not doing that now.

I have to agree with Mr. BelieveIn308. That trigger is sweet. Not a big fan of Ruger pistols. That one caught my eye. Still getting and XDS-45 first.

I like that idea Mike! I love my XDs. I would buy a Ruger revolver (GP100) and because of 308's testimony I wouldn't mind the LC9S, but I have enough on my wish list currently...

You cannot go wrong with a Springfield. I have two and show them love often. I truly enjoy shooting them both. Like I have said we live in the golden age of great firearms!

What Mike, not even considering the Glock 26 or 30? Don't you want to show some love for Glock?
