Stopped at Red Dot today to pick up a rifle I had their gunsmith work on, and saw 4 really fine revolvers. 2 Ruger Sp100's and two Smiths... I think I know which one I want now. The 4" Ruger Sp100. What a great grip. The S&W's seemed awful skinny to me. And the Rugers seemed to be built like a tank, yet pretty light.

Picked up a GP100 about a month ago. What a great gun!

I have a 6" 686 and love it. Certainly less recoil than my 9mm and feels great in my hands. On a side note, how often do you revolver guys take your cylinders off for cleaning?

Single action, every time. I haven't with the double actions and don't plan to unless the cylinder stops turning easily.
