Here's an attractive solution for off body carry:

Berne One One

This might a a neat option for the skills and drills class, as it would allow me to use my XD-M in its holster, in my jacket. Warmer months, they have a vest style as well.

I think this jacket option is worthy of some further study... Although I am not sure I like where the holster would sit...

I got it; well made, winter heavy; some weight to it. Pockets are velcro, I could see this as something to "wear in" as right now a new jacket, it's sort of a challenge to quickly rip open the pocket.

I ordered large, but it feels too big, so I ordered a medium; getting it tomorrow. I'll pick the best fit and return the other. Now, since I don't want to carry IWB, I'm looking for a lightweight summer "jacket". Ideas?
