Armed security is the best option here. Not sure I'd like a bunch of immature college kids having firearms in class. Perhaps outside of class.

Little mention of this in the press but....

The law states that you must be 21 years old before you can carry on campus. How many students meet this requirement?

Anyone who would be scared away, should be scared away.

You're a victim because you think like one, act like one, and speak like one and the predators know how to thin the herd by targeting the weak.

You should go home, fix a latte, hug a tree and watch re-runs of Frasier. That's what future victims should do if they want to be safe.

Guess I should come out of the closet and confess to being a college professor. I was recently in a conversation regarding applicants to a particular programme at a university in the Chicago area. My colleague announced her surprise that many of the applicants she had interviewed in the preceding days owned guns. Another colleague was incredulous regarding this fact, stating that she was even more surprised since the majority of applicants to the programme were female. So yes there are more than enough wacko college professors to go round, but please don't tar us all with the same brush. There are college professors who attend the RDA classes and think they are great.... and yes working in a "gun-free" zone gives me complete confidence that a bad guy will turn around when he sees the no gun stickers.

What is sad is if you asked the female applicants if they plan on having children soon and taking months off with pay as a result you could get sued even though it is extremely relevant to proper personnel planning, but somehow your colleague was able to ask the completely irrelevant question about guns.

I have conducted hundreds of interviews in my past life and today you cannot asked some of the most important and relevant questions, but you can ask about guns.

World = upside down.
