The direction the GOV is and has been taking is becoming more alarming each day.

“Under the government’s theory, the prosecution would continue to be free to employ all the assets it needs to build a case against petitioner, while petitioner would be denied full use of her untainted assets for her defense. … If the prosecution, with the assistance of the court, is allowed to exercise the type of broad authority to tie up a criminal defendant’s untainted assets, [the law] will present an open invitation to an ever more powerful federal government to deprive defendants in criminal cases of counsel of their choice, in violation of the Sixth Amendment.”

What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Surely all assets are technically legitimate until a person is found guilty; if that occurs, by all means confiscate ill-gotten gains. Of course if the President thinks that the Constitution is a bad thing (which I have heard him say), then what can you expect from the rest of the government.

The government has been attacking all of the bill of rights... Pretty soon even the 3rd Amendment may be under attack... No Soldier shall, in time of peace, be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. Think Jade Helm, and other so called training...

The 7th amendment has long been ignored... the 8th amendment on excessive fines as well... Although a strong case can be made for the simple fact that $20 was the amount discussed. And this was the amount mentioned in the 7th amendment.

Sadly, big government will grow to crush Liberty and Freedom. Slowly as is happening here or quickly as happened in Nazi Germany.
