Anybody affected by the storm damage yesterday? We lost power for about 45 minutes otherwise nothing. The tornado went about 1/2 mile south of us.

Yes, my power flickered off, and my cable box reset and I missed the best minute of The Last Ship. It was horrible.

In Ringwood (4 miles north of McHenry), it rained good, and was quite a lightning show. Power flickered twice, and was out for about 2 minutes the second time.

Yes, the Portillo's wall in Gurnee collapsed and my guess set the grand opening back a week or two. Devil

I drove through that area shortly after that happened and it was crazy. Couldn't believe a few trees that I saw down.

Awe I'm stoked for portillos! I don't like delays...

Back on topic though we had the power flicker and had to fight Netflix to get back to our show, but it was good cause we wandered downstairs just in thime to see a funnel cloud forming not far away. It was pretty cool. My roommate Jake just kept muttering something about renters insurance. Haha

We just had a ton of lightening, and the cable went out during the strain ... that kinda sucked. But considering things we did okay

Glad to hear you're all okay.

@ringo, if you like psychological horror movies check out The Stranger on Netflix starring Val Kilmer. My oldest two and I watched it and it was pretty good. If you like darkly comedic type movies check out Tucker & Dale vs Evil. My wife isn't much for dark comedy and she was laughing at it.

I'm one mile east of Six Flags. Lots of lighting, moderately heavy rain at times. Tornado sirens did go off but then quit just as I was preparing to go into my basement. I didn't see any damage nearby.
