Anyone here have any experience with this guy? Recoil magazine gave it a pretty darn good review for the price ect. I want to finish my ar this year (like I keep repeating...) But figured in the meantime I should figure out what all I'm aiming for.

I have one of them! I love the thing! Really great Red Dot. You will love it 2 MOA dot. Throw a Vortex VMX-3T (3x) magnifier behind it and you have a hell of a platform! It is far superior to the the Strikefire II for $20 more. Highly recommended. They are usually around $200.

Beautiful! that's basically what they said in the review and it intrigued me.. but between that and you saying it's good then I feel like it's off to a good start!

The magnifer is like $200 also, but check out ebay, sometimes they have NEW ones at a deep discount. I think I paid $154 for the last one I bought (I have several). The Vortex VMX-3T is a Vortex product, and works great with either the SPARC II or the Strikefire II. I use mine behind EOTech 522's...

I will look at the SPARC. I need to buy optics for 4 more builds and I am not sure what I want to put on them yet.

If you look up the article from recoil, it might convince you. They beat the crap out of the thing and it worked fine from what they said

Ouch, 4 red dots and 4 magnifiers can get pricey. If you plan on buying them all at once, I'd ask about a volume discount.

That would be impressive though! You should get 4 different setups with the SPARC II and let me know which one works best. Haha

I've heard nothing except good reviews on the Sparc II. I plan on adding one to my AR, but I have another priority first which is an EDCC 9mm which I have finally narrowed my choices down to down to 3 or 4 models.

No, it will be one or two at a time. I am replacing all my triggers also. So the balance of this year besides finishing my 10.5" build I will get one trigger and I am going to buy the Vortex SPARC. I also need to get a Aero Ultralight 30mm scope mount but they are all out of stock right now. I also need to get a to Flash Hider and I even considered a Silencer from Silencerco http://silencerco.com/products/specwar/ , but that depends if I can get over my feelings with sending more data and money to the feds.

You must not be from Illinois... In the People's Republic, Silencers are not legal to own. sad

I think the Vortex Sparc II are a huge bang for the buck. I love the Geissele SSA-E triggers. They are not cheap but they really are good (3.5lb, two stage, really clean breaking, and fast reset).

I wish we could pick up a silencer here. I'd definitely put that on the list!

The SSA-E is what i put on another build and I really, really REALLY, liked it. It was so precise and clean. The Silencerco may have to wait until all other items are finished.
