It would be interesting to hear from others around this great land (whats left of it) of ours, how their State Constitution reads regarding their Gun Rights.

Here is Oregon's: Section 27. Right to bear arms; military subordinate to civil power. The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence [sic] of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power[.]

From West Virginia's Constitution:

3-22. Right to keep and bear arms.

A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and state, and for lawful hunting and recreational use.

Alabama just passed a new amendment, Nov. of 2014. The constitution was amended to explicitly "provide that every citizen has a fundamental right to bear arms and that any restriction on this right would be subject to strict scrutiny." Additionally, the amendment "provide[d] that no international treaty or law shall prohibit, limit or otherwise interfere with a citizen's fundamental right to bear arms."

Alabama went from a "shall issue" CCP to a "must issue" CCP or provide the petitioner a valid reason not to issue.

Also in 2013, Alabama allows "open carry" with some restrictions. You must be a legal gun owner, must be locked in a box our of reach or have a CCP license. You cannot be charged with disorderly conduct for carrying on public property.
