What stock is on that? looks like a huge improvement over wood furniture.

It's an ATI Fiberforce. You have to remove the bottom stock tang on the C39v1 to mount it and drill the hole in the stock for the tang screw.

You can, you only need the top tang for that anyway. The C39v2 being a perfect example of that. You can also buy replacement tangs if you feel the need to have both. There are a few places that sell them.
@XdEric, yeah, you have to drill the hole(s) in the stock for the screw(s). It's not as hard as it sounds. Just place the stock where it matches up with the hole in the tang, mark the spot for drilling, put the stock in a vice, and drill away. I used a carbon metal drilling bit to do so.

In case anyone was wondering the sight and mount are a Primary Arms MD-ADS Advanced Micro RDS mated to a Strike Industries Rear Sight Rail 2. The folks over at AK Operators Union Local 47-74 on Facebook and YouTube did a torture test of a rifle equipped with that sight. They cracked the rear lens on the thing but it still operated as it should and held zero. I was sold on it right there. They charge $159.99, which is $10 less than even Primary Arms sells it for, and I'd put it up there with more expensive RDS units from Eotech or Aimpoint, both of which I have used in the past.

I just love the look of the C39 with that stock... If I add a C39 to my gun pile, that stock is going on it!

It looks much better in person I can guarantee you that. After I put it on I could also feel a definite weight difference between it and the stock polymer furniture that comes on the Sporter model, especially in regards to the handguard. This new one is much lighter. This is a plus considering the weight of its milled receiver. It feels much more balanced now.

Well to me the weight issue of the AK has always been how heavy the rifle is with the full 30 rd. magazine. It just seems to unbalance it. I didn't think the C39 milled receiver was much different than the stamped versions. I have to say the stock looks cool, and if it lightens the rifle all the better. Plus it makes the AK look less like the terrorists weapon of choice.

A milled receiver generally adds about a pound to the weight of the rifle.

I swapped the handguard in the above pic out for the new Magpul MOE model. After some Dremeling to get it to fit and a bit of hammering it into place (it's okay, it's an AK) here's the result:

Does the stock you've chosen allow for any horizontal shoulder adjustment (bigger butt pad)? If you get a good check weld it sure looks like a beauty. Have you taken her to the range yet?

Sorry for the late reply, I've been pretty busy lately. The only butt pad that I've found that fits is the one made specifically for it from the manufacturer. I haven't tried many though so there might be more. The one made for it adds about 1/2" to the LOP. With the butt pad it's about 12" long from back of the receiver to the end of the stock. This works well for me and my kids find it comfortable to hold as well. As for cheek weld when I shoulder the rifle the cheek rest sits right above my right lower jaw bone and is very comfortable. There's no "chin weld" with this stock like what one sees with other AK stocks.
Sadly I still haven't gotten to the range yet due to other things taking up some of my time, like having to buy my wife a new car and school. Hopefully I'll be able to get some real shooting in tomorrow if the weather holds. All I've really gotten to do so far is a couple rounds here and there out in the yard to handle raccoon and coyote issues, but not enough to give you a good run down on performance, though it did handle the job well all things considered.

Report back, that has always been one of the drawbacks for me on AK's is the wood furniture makes a good cheek weld tough to do. But this looks like a great option, functional, and tacti-cool looking. Plus now it changes the look from renegade to respectable.

The thing to remember about this stock is that it is made to replicate the one used on the Russian SVD Dragunov, which is a world class DMR. Sadly, thanks to an agreement between Slick Willy Clinton and Boris Yeltsin we can't get the Russian SVD imported into the US anymore. I haven't looked into why but the Chinese versions also aren't permitted to be imported. The closest we can get anymore is an AK or SKS with this style of stock unless we're willing to pay $25,000+ on gunbroker or similar auction site. Neither the AK or the SKS fully replicates the SVD though as it uses a combination of features from both the other rifles and fires the potent 7.62x54r round.
