rwhite135 .... Do you have a link or more info on why the Pennsylvania State Police dropped Glock? Sometimes a manufacturer will offer a better deal to get in the door. I'd like to read about the failures they had with Glocks and models they were carrying. Thanks.

They were having issues with triggers failing on their Glock21 Gen 4s. Glock couldn't solve the issue to their satisfaction so they switched. I believe American Rifleman had the the story. Here's the only story I can currently find that mentions it:

http://weaponsman.com/?p=16496

All of the others from a year or so ago seem to have been scrubbed on the reason for the switch, including on AmericanRifleman.org. My younger sister's husband is a PA State Trooper and I know what his thoughts on the Glock 21 Gen 4 are. He hates it.

Never had the thought of owning a .45 GAP. I do recall other issues with GEN 4's when they first came out. Thanks.

*Intrac*.... Has been done by the Croatian company *intrac*. Springfield just rolls their name on the gun. Considering that Glock was making these polymer frame guns long before Springfield bought the contract with Intrac to claim their product, who is REALLY late to the game? ;) lmao... Springfield showed up to the wrong stadium!! Lol.

I am curious why you say Croation and "intrac" like it is a bad thing. Do you have some historical evidence about Croation firearms that indicate they are inferior? If the XDs are the only evidence then Croation stands for excellence.

hmmm... Glock 43, same awful trigger, same lousy sights, only 6+1 rounds, and now you get a hobbit grip instead of a 2x4 grip. Now if it were not $100 more than an M&P Shield it might be OK, but really?

A carry weapon shouldn't be worn like jewelry. The uglier the better, I'll take a Glock any day of the week...even with formal wear. Big Grin

But the diamond lube RDA sells is! Great stuff. And two tiny drops per firearm really smooth things out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It's even more noticeable on a pocket knife. I've put some the recommended 3 times on my Hofner knife. Smooth as butter...
