Years ago, I actually had the honor to sit next to Barry Sanders (A Hall of Fame Running Back for the Detroit Lions, for you non-football fans) who had done the same thing! He sat next to me the whole trip to Las Vegas all the way in the back of the plane. When I asked him why was sitting in coach, he said he gave up his seat in 1st Class for a Service Man. A class act in that he didn't want any recognition for the act.
