A five week turn around including the mail. All in all I'd say they were pretty efficient for a government service. Thanks RDA for making the entire process easy!

Congrats... I'm in WI, so after the class, sent in the application, and had my CCW permit 5 days from the day I dropped it in the mail, so looks like the permit went out within 24 or 48 hours of them receiving it. Now THAT is efficient for anyone, let alone a Govt. entity! lol

That's because you live in a state where they don't want to mess with your 2nd amendment rights.

Just got mine renewed for another 4 years. It took a whopping 15 minutes and $50.00. I have had mine since 1998 and now its set until 2019. Which is perfect since my Utah is good for 5 years and it does not expire until 2019.

The good thing out of this is as I was talking to the gal that was doing my processing, she admitted the our County does not have the money to enforce and does not plan on enforcing the new Senate Bill (941) that just past for Oregon. It requires FFL transfers between private sales.

Well that's good news. The entire law is just stupid.
