What is everyone's opinions on billet vs. forged and 7075 vs. 6061 aluminum.
Does strength really matter that much? From what I understand both the 7075 and forged is stronger than their counterparts.
Does anything make a difference in performance and or precision?
Who are the companies to avoid?
Great questions! Since I would be looking for only 1-2 Lowers, I thought the Palmetto State ones were a good value. If I were going for super high end, I find one in titanium. As long as the lower is quality aluminum I think either is OK. The 7075 certainly is stronger.
