After a party in Chicago with my 3 month old daughter in my arms and my wife with me, three man accosted us as we were trying to get into our car, my wife got really nervous and could not open the car at which point I handed her my daughter and quickly opened the car reached under the driver seat, unsheathed a Rambo style knife just below the window and behind the door so those guys wouldn't know what I had retrieved. It all happened very fast, they had formed a semicircle as they walked from their car which was on the other side of the street form we're we were parked to us and I was wishing for a gun to defend my family, but the knife would have to do; I screamed at them to leave (in not such nice language), maybe they didn't have any weapons and were counting on the numbers upper hand to over power us, but I'm sure they taught I had a gun and they backed off (lucky for us). Ever since than I have purchased a gun to ensure that the field is a little more even should something like that ever happen again.
