Question for anyone who might know... I shoot the manufacturer reloads you can buy at red dot, and have put about a 1000 rounds thru my XD(m) .45. Haven't had any failure to feed issues except for one time I hadn't cleaned it in a few trips to the range. I recently shot this ammo thru a friends Kimber ultra carry 2 and had several feed issues.
One, I noticed the feed ramp on the Kimber is significantly more angled than my xdm.
Two, the casings had a noticeable scratch with a little brass hanging off of them.

Any idea what caused this? Is it the angle of the feed ramp because it's a compact gun?

Not sure. I've never heard of any firearms having issues other then certain 380s.

We do talk about this in out Basic pistol class. Not all guns like all ammo. This maybe the case.

I have heard kimbers can be picky. Myself just for fun, I'd grab a caliper and measure the different rounds and see if you can find a difference. Ones probably slightly longer than the other, so one catches on the feed ramp, and the other just slides right in
